This is the (very rough and not very accurate) route that I took on my road trip this summer. I’ve been playing around with ideas about visualizing my road trip today, but I haven’t quite figured out what I want the end result to be yet, so this is just not really anything at all yet, just a design idea exploration. What I’d like to do is an interactive site utilizing Google Maps, where you’d have the map above but you could zoom in, see the route in greater detail, with links to photos and the daily dairies that I posted. I am pretty much clueless about the Google Maps API though, and that sort of stuff in general, so we’ll see..
