Speaking of The New Yorker and logotypes, I have to profess my love for these three New York print media logos. I’ve posted these before, but they’re worth posting again. Three beautiful ways to express New York City.
And while I’m on the topic, the online presences of these three publications are some of the best I can think of for printed media, compacting great amounts of content into some very pleasant-to-read websites. Okay, maybe the New York Magazine site could use a bit of polish, but the ones for The New York Times and The New Yorker are splendid.
Then there are the covers for The New Yorker, but that’s a whole other story.

I’m kind of totally in love with this adorable 8-bit version of The New Yorker’s snobby aristocrat/dandy logo. It makes me wish there will be a The New Yorker: The Game, where you play said snobby aristocrat, slapping peasant tourists around as you make your way through The Metropolitan Museum and other New York venues of taste.

Cranky Monday

At the risk of sounding like a grouch; it pisses me off to no end when people, young, healthy-looking people, get on the elevator in the morning and pushes 2. One flight of stairs and you can’t be bothered to walk? Really?

Greenpoint, NY.
My gut reaction was to add No Woman No Cry underneath, but I didn’t have any magic marker on me (plus even if I had it might not be the smartest thing to do in broad daylight).
